1.  Where is the 2024 CFC Kids Family Conference going to be held?

2.  Who are invited to the 2024 CFC Kids Family Conference?

This is a conference for the whole family! Children, Youth & Parents are all invited! We hope to see all CFC families from Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and other areas in our Southeast region.

3.  When is the 2024 CFC Kids Family Conference?

It will be on the weekend of August 30 to Sept 1st, 2024 (this is the Labor Day weekend). The program has not been finalized yet, but our tentative gathering and registration starts on Saturday, Aug 31st @ 7am. The Family Conference will end on Sunday, Sept 1st around 2pm.

4.  How much is the CFC Kids Family Conference registration fee?

Early Bird registration is available at the discounted rates until July 1st, 2024:

Child participant (age 7-12) $145 per person

Child participant (age 4-6) $105

Child (age 3) $50

Toddler (2yrs old & under) no charge

Youth $95;

Parent/Guardian/Guest $85  

Lodging is additional to the above registration fees. Please add $90 for 1 room for Saturday night stay.

Each room will accommodate 4 people with 4 twin beds (bunk bed style) & has their own private bathroom.

For families with less than or greater than 4 members, please see below for your lodging options.  

Regular registration fees starting July 2nd, 2024:

Child participant (age 7-12) $155 per person

Child participant (age 4-6) $115

Child (age 3 only) $55

Toddler (2yrs old & under) no charge

Youth: $100 Parent/Guardian/Guest: $90

*** Note: If the child is less than 9 yrs. old, at least one parent should register for the event.  

5.  What is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee for each participant, youth, parent, guardian or guess includes 4 meals (Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, & Sunday lunch), Family Conference activities and materials, and use of designated campsite facilities (conference rooms, swimming pool, camp fire ring, basketball courts & pavilions).

In addition to the above, each child participant (age 4-12) will also receive a conference t-shirt and souvenirs.

Youth/parent/guardian/guest can purchase a FamCon t-shirt for $20 each. Please indicate this on the registration form.

6. What is the lodging set up?

We have allocated a group of cabins. Each cabin has 6 rooms and have a shared living room. Each room has its own private bathroom.

There are no linens in the room. Each person must bring their own sleeping bag or blanket, pillow & toiletries. See attached cabin layout.
NOTE: Gas and charcoal grills, microwave ovens, rice cooker, hotplates or other means of cooking are prohibited on the 4-H Center. All of our meals will be in the cafeteria.

7.  What if we have more than 4 members in our family?

How is lodging calculated? If you have a family of 5, you’ll need to get 1 room for $90, which will hold 4 members of your family. Then you’ll need to purchase an additional bed for $25. The 5th person will be on a room next door with 3 other people. This 5th person can request preferred roommates, keep in mind that there must be at least 1 adult per room. Another example, if you are a family of 6, you’ll need to get 1 room for $90, which will hold 4 members of your family. Then you’ll need to purchase 2 additional bed for $25 each. The 5th & 6th person can request preferred roommates, again keeping in mind that there must be at least 1 adult per room. So for a family of 6, the total lodging fee is $140 per night. Our lodging is set up this way due to fire hazard regulations @ Rock Eagle.

8.  What if we have less than 4 members in our family?

How is lodging calculated? If you have less than 4 members in your family, you can either purchase an entire room for $90 – and the room will be for your family only. OR you can purchase per bed, which is $25 per bed, knowing that there will be another person joining in your room. For example, if you are a family of 2 and you decided to purchase per bed instead of per room, you will only pay $50. However, keep in mind that there will be 2 additional people joining in your room.

9.  Can I stay overnight on Friday, Aug 30th?

Yes, please add another $90 to cover for Friday night for 1 room/4 ppl. Friday night rooms are limited with priority given to service team, then it will be available on first come, first serve.
However, please note that NO Friday night dinner will be serve. You will need to provide your own meal for Friday night. There are nearby fast food restaurants within 15 mins away.

10.  Are linens included in the room?

No, there are no linens in the room. Each person must bring their own sleeping bag or blanket, pillow & toiletries. However, if many are interested, we can order a few linens for an additional charge. Please email us at cfc.tejano@gmail.com if you are interested on buying linens.

11.  What can we do in Georgia after the Family Conference?

Rock Eagle is only 1hr & 10 mins drive from Atlanta, GA. There are many fun places to visit in Atlanta – home of the GA Aquarium, World of Coke, CNN and the famous Centennial Park!
